Spring 2009
Each winter seems longer than the last but spring always manages to arrive just when we think we can't take it anymore. Our retail greenhouse is full of annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, hanging baskets, tropical plants - large and small - and a selection of trees, shrubs, evergreens and rose bushes.
Stop in Monday through Saturday from9am to 7pm and Sunday from 11 to 5pm. More items will be brought over to the retail center each week.
In response to the state of the economy we are experimenting with different sizes of plants to accommodate all budgets. We also have some items growing in peat pots to reduce our dependence on plastic (oil) and to help turn around the trend towards global warming.
Vegetable gardening is becoming more popular so we are carrying a large variety of vegetables again. We're growing 120 Heirloom and hybrid tomatoes plus a few dozen types of peppers too. Check our Special Events page for info on free tomato tastings in August.
